- Located less than 1 mile from the Idaho border. Within
a few minutes in any direction, catch your limit of rainbow, brown,
or brook trout. A high-desert jewel. |
Jarbidge
- Located in the Jarbidge Wilderness Area. This small town is
your starting point for four-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking,
fishing and camping. |
Lovelock
- The city lies in a level meadow valley bounded by the Humboldt
Range to the east and the Trinity and Seven Troughs ranges to
the north and west.

Paradise
Valley - A living Ghost town forty miles north of
Winnemucca. The Mercantile, Saloon and the Stonehouse Country
Inn are all open for business. |
McDermitt
- The state line goes through the White Horse Inn, a now-abandoned
saloon. The old McDermitt Jail can be opened up and people are
allowed inside for pictures. |
Wells
- A railroad town and was once a stopover for passenger trains.
Located near the alpine lakes of the Ruby Mountains and lower
Humboldt Range. |
West
Wendover - West Wendover has a myriad of activities
including historic sites, trails, outdoor recreation as well as
some of the west's best night life for you to enjoy. |
Winnemucca
- "The Crossroads of the West". A great jumping-off
point for outdoor recreation. The historic downtown has boutiques,
restaurants and pubs.

Lamoille
- Located on the Western flanks of the Ruby Mountains, and is
the gateway to this range via the National Scenic Byway. Horseback
riding, fishing, and other activities. |
Elko
Nevada - Elko is the host to the National Cowboy
Poetry Gathering. Many historic places of interest are located
in and around Elko. |
